10. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on
a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same
gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.
9. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a
better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
8. I voted Democrat because Freedom of speech is fine as long as
nobody is offended by it.
7. I voted Democrat because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun,
and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from
murderers and thieves.
6. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it
will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in
ten years if I don’t start driving a Prius.
5. I voted Democrat because I’m not concerned about the slaughter of
millions of babies through abortion so long as we keep all death row
inmates alive.
4. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free
health care, education, and Social Security benefits.
3. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed
to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest
away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit.
2. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the
Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never
get their agendas past the voters.
1. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass
it’s unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

A biker is riding by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion’s cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her before the eyes of her screaming parents.
The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage, and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain, the lion jumps back, letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.
A New York Times reporter has witnessed the whole scene, and addressing the biker, says, “Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life.”
“Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.”
“Well, I’ll make sure this won’t go unnoticed. I’m a journalist from the New York Times, you know, and tomorrow’s paper will have this on the front page. What motorcycle do you ride and what political affiliation do you have?”
“A Harley Davidson, and I am a Republican.”
The journalist leaves.
The following morning the biker buys the New York Times and reads, on the front page:

A state trooper stopped a 95 year old woman on interstate 20, and noticed as he was checking her drivers license, that she had a concealed carry permit. He said, “got any guns with you ma’am?” She said, “yes, a 45 Smith & Wesson in the glove compartment, a 357 magnum in the console and a 38 special in my purse.” The trooper said “lady, what are you scared of?” She said, “NOT A DAMN THING!!!

If John Lennon really found it so easy to “imagine no possessions,” how come he had to record his song “Imagine” on a white grand piano in a vast stucco-fronted Georgian mansion on a 72-acre estate in one of the most expensive counties in Britain? Tell your Marxists friends you much prefer integrity in your music—take for instance, “The Ballad of the Green Berets” (a number one hit in 1966) sung without a lot of whoop-dee-do by an authentic Green Beret, Barry Sadler.

During his campaign he said he was against the Patriot Act, maybe it was because he wasn’t in power. Well now Obama is in Power he sure is for it.

Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) has filed a simple amendment to the Patriot Act protecting the rights of Americans to lawfully carry a firearm. His Amendment would stop federal agencies from collecting gun records under the Patriot Act. The amendment preserves two provisions of current law that protects gun owner privacy from a Patriot Act exemption.
…Leadership in both parties disagree and have been doing everything to block consideration of the Paul Amendment. Neil McCabe at Guns and Patriots reported yesterday on Facebook that “finessing arcane procedural tactics, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., blocked the amendment by withdrawing his own bill for Patriot Act extension for consideration and then attached it to an unrelated bill.” McCabe further reported that Reid was overheard on the Senate floor expressing an interest in avoiding this vote. That was yesterday, now Republicans in the Senate Leadership are actively opposing the Paul Amendment to the Patriot Act.
